Students are invited to The Student Maker Studio (SMS), located in the Library, L235, on Wednesday August 27 to learn about precision cutting with a Cricut, and creating customized items using their designs with a sublimation printer. Students will learn about precision cutters and the software to make projects for them while creating and personalizing a magnet that students can take with them after the event.  (The session on Thursday 8/28 is identical. Students only need to register for one session to get the full experience.)    

Participants will use Cricut Design Studio to customize their designs to be cut and are encouraged to register for an account and download the software to their personal devices prior to attending. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own laptops if available, though Library computers will also be available for this workshop.  

Using the fundamentals for paper and vinyl cutting provided in the workshop, students will be prepared to create and customize other creations that can be made in the SMS. We are excited to see what your creativity brings to the Student Maker Studio!
